I loved this one

Got this from a friend. . .
A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller, whose name is
Patricia Whack. The Frog says, “Ms.Whack, I’d like to get a loan to buy
a boat and go
on a long vacation.” Patti asks how much he wants to borrow.
The frog says his name is Kermit Jagger, his dad is Mick
Jagger, he wants to borrow $30,000 and it’s OK because he knows the bank
manager.
Patti explains that $30,000 is a
substantial amount of money and that he
will need some collateral to secure the loan. Kermit says, “I have
this,” and produces a tiny pink porcelain
elephant, about half an inch tall, bright pink and perfectly formed.
Patti finds the bank manager and says:
“There’s a frog named Kermit Jagger out there who claims to know you and

2 Vs 4

Wednesday, May 21st, 2003

Hey everyone,
This question is for those on either 2 or 4 injections a day. Currently,
I’m on 2 injections a day (well, one really as my new doctor has cut off the
evening one) but he wants me to think about going on 4 a day (using the pen
rather than syringes) as he says it will give more freedom and better
control although everyone is different. Is there anyone who has gone from 2
a day to 4 and if so, which do you think is better? What are the advantages
and disadvantages of both? At the moment I don’t really want to go onto 4 a
day but obviously I’m not going to make that decision until I have enough
information about both. I’m also going to speak to the diabetes educator at
the hospital later, before my next appointment (which is in December) to
discuss it. He (my doctor, who is much better than my old doctor!!) says I
don’t have to but it is an option.
Thanks!
Sarah.

You know, he almost didn’t see the old lady, stranded on
the side of the road. But even in the dim light of day, he could
see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes
and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he
approached her. Even with the smile on his face, she was
worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so.
Was he going to hurt her? He didn’t look safe, he looked poor
and hungry. He could see that she was frightened, standing out
there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which
only fear can put in you. He said, “I’m here to help you ma’am.
Why don’t you wait in the car where it’s warm? By the way,
my name is Bryan.” Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an
old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car
looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time
or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get

Chat: Believing in God

I guess I was too far reaching. I don’t believe Jones and Moon
believe(d) in the same Loving Lord but the people believe(d) and put their
faith in THEM, not the Loving Lord, was my point.

family diabetes

Sunday, May 18th, 2003

I had an uncle who got Type II at age 72. But that’s all. I still think mine
was caused by the untreated 8 years of boils, styes, and carbuncles.
(Therefore, my mom’s guilt feelings and partial reason for ignor-ance of
me). As far as I know my bro has no concern (saw him once in 30 years). He
has 9 kids and doubt if any of them are tested since he deserted 2 of his
families. Neither of my kids are too concerned. My dau. decided she will
not get it and son is a typical male - tough.

Marius & Wendy

When you gave us your story, Marius, you didn’t reveal how you met and fell
in love with Wendy. She must be a very special lady to have turned your
heart around after your previous encounters.
