Jan’s son’s situation

Like mother, like son! 8^ ( Got a call about noon 9/27 that our son fell
from a house roof 169 miles away. He was coating it with a silvery tar and
slipped on some. Grabbed the the guttering, which scraped his arms (3-4
stitches in left), then dropped on his heels, then bottom. He broke 3
vertabrae, one is 70% *filled.*. Wednesday afternoon they will open his
side, move his diaphragm, move his kidney over and remove the vertabra,
graft a bone in and put it in a metal shaft. Dr. said he should get up
Thursday! He’ll be in a brace about 3 months. His heels are bruised and
butt’s sore. They had to throw his clothes away. One pant leg was ripped -
probably saved him from a cut.
We got home at 1:00 a.m. I had 2 medical appts. yesterday (cancelled) and
have to catch up today and give a motivational speech tonight. We’ll go back
Wednesday. So glad we got the ‘96 minivan a couple of weeks ago!!
My back still hurts - *popped* a couple places. Will see backologist
again today. Doesn’t hurt to drive. 8^) Alternating ice bags helps lots.

Later,
Jan

Wow, He is lucky to be alive! He sure is going to need his Mommy! :0)
I sure will be praying for him.
I am glad you are a little better. Rest when you can. Let us Know how you
