Mrs. Jan
Becki - I just decided I’m going to use that poem for our 40th wedding
anniversary bash 11/4/00 (in conjunction with my 50th *coma* anniversary
celebration). That poem is my husband. We laugh that we’ve been married 39
years - 3 of them happily. Not too far off the mark. But reading that over,
it is certainly my hugsband. With a cranky, impatient, not-knowing-BG wife
loaded down with 2 babies 10 mos. & 14 days apart - I wasn’t a pleasant
person for anyone to live with. I understand why many diabetics are
divorced. My hugsband just tolerates things (too much though - cause I have
to step in a take over many times - arrgghhhhh). But this poem you sent is
his discription. THANKS!!
Jan

Hey gang, I thought I would just write a newsy letter and tell you that
there is a lot of good out there. Last week I wrote earlier was tough
but I do have a great hubby. We have been married about 30 years and
have two great kids. He bought me a new computer chair last week which
has made my sitting at the computer hours and hours very comfortable. He
even but one of those plastic sheets under it so it rolls very easily.
That was not all…in our 30 years of marriage we have never owned a new
table. All them them have been handy downs or fleetmarket variety. New
new just to us…don’t get me wrong. There has always been something for
us to eat on, but I have a beautiful 42 by 60 oak table in my kitchen
with a removable leaf. I am thrilled. He put in together in the middle
of the night so when I got up it was ready for breakfast. Then last
night he bought me a beautiful bouquet of carnations, daisies, and
bachlor buttons to sit on top of it. He is so sweet and romantic. I
just love him to death. Through all of my troubles these past years he

I remember once you asked us to send Gail a Blue Mountain Arts greeting
card. I suggested that you make one of your own. LITTLE did I know how
capable you are!!
I HATE painting by number - too boring. But I’m right about your
temperament (& Iris’ and mine) being melancholic. Not even having met you,
you are following the pages of the book you haven’t read. Sort of like a
2-year-old acts like a 2-year-old and hasn’t read the manual to know how to
act. 8^ )

I was so rattled seeing a # I hadn’t seen for him before I added a 0.
Goof-y Jan
Gail, your list post was received in northern Indiana.

Everyone,
I can’t believe it I think I did it. Finally I have
tried all week. Now I am so wore out I am going to
bed.
Hope to be able to post tomorrow.

I have a fancy schmancy Accu-Chek Complete that stores 1000 tests with
time/date and graphs and bells and whistles galore. Don’t know how to advise
you other than taking the whole thing to the pharmacy and show them the
problem — maybe they have the answer or will replace the bad batch. Is
there a battery to replace??

I climbed outta my hole. Had to catch up (ketchup) on phone calls and
e-mails since I’ve been gone so much this week. Someone asked how it feels
to be 414. I really didn’t notice except being so tired. However figured
that was coz of the stress and lateness of the week. Was surprised when I
read it. The nap was necessary (1.5 hrs was good). E-mail is more relaxing
to me than music coz I get to laugh. I took 2 extra units at lunch and don’t
like to bring it down to quickly.
Marius, next time only take 4u of fast-acting to bring you down since you
don’t like 80 dl/ml. Be sure to have a snack of cheese or something that is
not simple carbs - complex carbs with protein is best.
It’s 9:40 p.m. here now and I’m 86 — grrrreattttt!! Am I outta the
doghouse now?? I don’t feel that much diff than did at 414. No brain, no
pain, no sense, no feeling.
