My Doctor Visit
Hey everyone, Just wanted to drop a post and let you guys know how much I
appreciate this list. I went to the doctor on Friday and because of a past
bad experience with the last doctor I had was a little nervous about going to
this one because my bgs are steadily climbing. The old doctor would have put
me down and blamed it on me no matter how hard I tried. The new one sits in
a chair beside me and says ok lets go over everything going on with you and
see what we can do to make things work right. His attitude is so wonderful
and he truly cares about me. I just keep a sinus infection and of course I
had one when I went in so he gave me some stuff to help with that. He did
increase my glucopage by 500mg. But our goal is to eliminate the insulin
shots all together. I asked about the low carb he was really cool with that
also. Just said to be careful on to much fat and we sat down and figured out
how many grams of fat and carbs for me to take in a day. The doctor really
does make a difference you guys. My last doctor just said take two aspirin
and call me in the morning. This one says go and get your blood work and I
want to see you in two months unless you need to see me sooner!! THis list
has helped me alot in that being able to communicate with others who have the
same challenges I do everyday. The humor I know I can find when I log on.
The wonderful relationships you build with people from all over the world
(Marius!!) anyway just something I wanted to share. My bgs are down this
morning and I feel great. My dad got me a bicycle and my friend is coming
over with hers and we are going to start riding a few days a week. I am
going to start walking and want to get into the weight loss mode. I love you
guys and sorry I am being so mushy but I just wanted to share from my heart.

OH this is sooooo nice. As far as I am concerned, Don’t apoligize for being
mushy. I feel the same way. Who did I run to last night when I was
concerned….My friends here on this list. Isn’t it true that a good doctor
can make all the difference? I am glad you found one! ( now if we could get
Marius to do the same!)
Once you can get mentally ready for the food plan and the exercise you are
ready to go, go, go! You will be surprised at what a little bit of exercise
can do for you, Both mentally and physically.
Keep up the great attitude and let us know how you are doing!

Actually Marius, I was told he was from Africa. He kinda has an Austrailian
accent. I will ask him in two months if he is from Africa and why he is not
there taking care of you. Although I am kinda glad he’s here taking care of

If he’s from Oz, he can come to SA, that’ll make up for the
Endocriminologist that they have stolen from us…
The German doctor on our panel is also leaving…
