If I read that sentence the way Marius has been telling us that in SA having
your neighbors for dinner is a whole different meaning — makes me wonder
what he means:
His wife will eat the muffins, their little girl, the cats AND the dog.
EWWWWW! She must be hungry. At least he didn’t say she’d eat HIM!! ROFL

I’ll rephrase it Trish…
Do not patronize unfavorable or dissenting feelings Trish,
my consort will endeavor to prepare and consume it, in addition,
the two domesticated feline animals, of which one is of the male
and the other of the female gender (visually challenged) and my
one domesticated canine companion of small stature and our
non-masculine juvenile descendant, will support my consort in said
consummation of comestibles….whilst I will engage in observation
only.

NO ‘puter dictionary for me thanks…I went to a double medium
school and read ONLY English books.
When I have nothing else to read I read my dictionary…
