Marius,
You are not the only one who does not get any messages. I have been
on this morning cleaning up the emails that I have and no one is out
there. Not on this list or anyother. I think the world is silent. I am
waiting for the van to come and pick me up for work. The headache is
finally just a dull thud so I should be able to make it through the day
at work. I will watch so I don’t hit it again. I do not like to hit
things but sometimes I really do no see what is getting me. I sent a
couple of goodies out today so I hope that you enjoy them once you get
back to work, Iwill check on this list tonight. I hope that your wrist
is feeling better Iris…and good luck on your speech. Jan, glad that
you had just a good day the otherday. i hope that your new pump works
better. Sheila…love tohear your words of strength…Connie…yes it
has been a while since we have heard from you,,hope you are ok.
Christine are you back???????????? Wally I miss you…Gail…my friend
who is diabetic went in for an Mudium to look to see if there was some
other infection that was giving her problems. They could not find out
where is was. She found out she had an infection that was not having
side effects except for high sugars. They are working to correct that
now. Well, must go to work…the van is here. Becki

Becky, I am sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you are doing better.
I know that ouched! Things have been so busy this past few weeks and I am
not sure it will slow down the following few weeks. I hope so. I am
stuggling to keep bs in control, not really doing good with that. They are
staying under 200 though alot of it is stress that is why I am not freaking.
I really am good with watching what I eat. But stress gets me everytime. It
is cooling off here in Texas the highs have been in the 60’s and I love it.
We had to turn the heater on about 1am this morning. It really felt good.
Well I am around and maybe things will settle down. I have been keeping up
with everyone the best I can. Many hugs Shelia :O)

Jan, I see what you mean about being on line and no Marius. I woke up
and decided to check my email and found everyone was had been active but
he had decided that it was time for a shift change. It is good to have
you back Christine, How did it look when you got home. Thought about
you when the storm went across the state and out of our range but said
that it was going to hit your area. Now we have Jose to deal with. So
far he is just wobbling around out in the Atlantic and south of us. I
understand that the eye is forming better. I talked to Arny in Miami and
they survived the last one. He is still looking into a Florida support
group…interested? Talk to you later about that. Iris how did your
speech go? Have not heard from you since your meeting. Saw that
Kathleen was on line for a while. Good the hear from you again. I
really should go back to bed it is after one and no one is up and
talking. I think I am addicted to this machine. If my daughter is up it
is hard to get her off since we got the web she loves to play. I am
still learning. I think Jan I should be taking that computer class you
go to. It sounds so good. I am expected to know more than I do at the
club on computers so force myself to try new things. Have not wiped out
too many things yet. Well, it is bed time again. Head feeling much
better. No bump left and swelling is down. I think I’ll live. Becki

Oh it is good to be back home and reading my email!! I am glad you are
feeling better. Maybe you should try to sleep at night and not be on the
computer!!! I do understand about the addiction! LOL!
My oldest son, 15, has been in counseling for as long as I can remember and
he has something called “attachment disorder” and depression. He is now in a
crisis intervention unit. He does so well for awhile and then something
triggers him and he withdraws. He was three when I adopted him and he had an
awful life in those short years. He went into the hospital last night. Would
you all keep him in prayer?
Talk to you later,
Christine

Hi Sheila,
I am feeling much better today and got wise yesterday and didn’t hit
my head again. It is so frustrating when things get moved and I forget
and run into things. Usually I have control of the inside and know what
and where I have moved things to but the men decided that the tv stand
should get moved into the library and I just didn’t see it. BUT two days
in a row is a little embarrassing. Just a little headache this am and a
sore spot on top of my head but it is not swollen but touchie. I have so
much to do before the end of the month that I hope that the stress does
not raise my sugars. I also screwed up on my doc. appointment sohad to
change that to the middle of the month. It is so upsetting when I do
things like this because I feel like I have really lost some of my
independence and need to have help. Right now at the club I have the
Halloween party for the kids, newspaper to finish, poster contest to
finish, and of course the children still have study hall so have tutoring
to do everyday. It is a little crazy when the office adds a meeting on
Friday also. My boss is on vacation the last week of Oct. so more
responsiblities also. It is wild
I have only been to the northern part of Texas. I also had
thought that your weather was similiar to ours in florida but after
moving south I realize that you get some bad and good weather also. I do
not look forward to the colder weather. After living in Minnesota or
Wisconsin most of my life the Florida weather is a dream even with the
hurricanes I love the sun.
Sheila, I was wondering what your profile was like. I do not know
if I ever saw it. I think your hubby is a truck driver so you go with
him often.
Do you have more family? Do you work or should I restate that as …do
you enjoy a profession outside your duties has household engineer? I
love that titile or economic researcher is another one. Well, I must get
ready for the van again, You never know when they will come so will get
ready and then maybe get to come back if the daughter is not on. Becki

Hey Becki,
I am glad you are doing better. The weather in Texas is very humid. I
live right on the coast in a little community called Mauriceville Tx. It is
about 15 mins from The TX LA border and about 45 min from Lake Charles LA.
We are like you guys in the sense that we don’t really have a winter. There
are years when we will experience some icy rain and maybe a ice storm here
and there but that is about it.
I am a brand new stay at home mom. I quit my full time job about 2 yrs
ago. I worked as a Sr Loan officer at a local CRedit Union. My diabetes was
starting to take full force because I did not take care of myself because of
my hectic job and home life. I did not have time. Which cost me. The job I
had came with a huge price. I made a lot of money but the stress was
unbelievable. I had to get out of it. So I took a step on faith and quit.
I then went to a temp agency and worked for about a year. Then took a part
time job until recently when I finished paying off enough debt to stay home.
This just took place. I now am a Creative Memories Consultant I teach people
how to preserve their pictures. I do this as fun and am enjoying staying
home. My husband does travel. He is not a truck driver but a sales rep for
a welding manufactorer. I am now in the postition to get to travel with him.
My only child a son is a Freshman at Lamar U in Beaumont TX. He is there on
a full music scholarship. So I am now free to go with Mike. I have felt the
need to get myself out of as much stress as possible. I now seem to be under
better control. I really got control when I started with my new doctor a
year ago in Houston. He helped me so much as well as this list. I know you
asked a few questions and I gave you a book! LOL! But I am very happy now
just need to lose weight and get my bs at the norm state. I just got my lab
results and my 3 mo profile was 8.4 which for me was wonderful because last
time it was 9.8 and before that it was 14.9 so I have come a long way. I
hope your day is wonderful and your boo boos get better. Hugs Shelia :O)

Hi all, please excuse me if I don’t write too much tonight but I really
Yeah Becks, addiction to one of these machines comes too easy,
feel extremely tired, my eyes are out of focus and breathing has
changed somewhat…guess it must be sugar playing up.
Whassis about some feller called Jose? is he also diabetic?,
cause I read that he’s “wobbling,” shame, his legs must be giving
trouble as well as his..eye? only one??? He must be eating a lot of
beans also ’cause I believe he’s full of wind
especially if you know a bit and want to know more, I find the
various “help” files very interesting and have learned a great deal
from it. Trying things on the PC and playing around with it is the
only real way to learn for me.
