All you Fundis out there..
I’m a little concerned, as you know my BG is always on the high
side. I have for a while now tried to get it lower but just cannot
seem to do so.
Contrary to my Dr’s instructions, I have given myself quite a few
“overdoses” with no effect at all…well maybe one or two mmol
down. I have given myself 35u Actraphane
(should be 20u) with 30 Actrapid (should be 5u) with very little
results. A few times I have done this and zilch, niks, nothing, ca!
Can it be that, as the quack said, I build up insulin tolerance?
M
Marius, I do not know how that insulin works but you might ask the doc.
when it peaks so you eat at the right time to make optimum use of the
insulin. Also I was told that stress can really bother my test results
and all the insulin in the world will not help. I have to chill out or
quit my job. Which is hard to do on both counts. I think part of your
problem is that you do not faithfully watch your carbo intake and do not
have the chance to eat on a schedule. I have heard of insulin
intolerance but i do not know how it works. Also since you are type 2
you must be making some insulin so why not take a pill to increase the
natural insulin and then maybe you can cut back on the insulin. Just an
idea…Becki
