Seems there was this Indian who wanted a longer blanket so he cut off one
end and sewed it onto the other end. That explains Daylight Savings Time.
The first Sunday in April, the USA (except Arizona and most of Indiana)
add an hour at 2:00 a.m. making them think it’s 3:00 a.m. (the milk cows
don’t know the difference, though). Then the last Sunday in October at 2:00
a.m. they set the clocks back to read 1:00 a.m. = Spring forward, Fall back!
I think it started somewhere back around after the BIG war. People got
off work and wanted more daylight to play in so that’s what happened.

I’ve said NO more negative news from my part of the world…..
NO farmers have been murdered in the last 24 hours and that’s
GOOD NEWS!!!!

Don’t avoid the Q, Marius, what’s the SITREP?

I guess they *kicked* our son out of rehab!! He is progressing so well that they
said he needs out-patient therapy 3x a week. A medical van will transport him.
So, HE’S HOME!! We’re going to Fort Wayne next weekend then will go on to Muncie
to see him again the next day. Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes.
Hubby’s forehead doesn’t hardly show any scar from the 5 stitches. My back from
my fall is much better — back to its normal 24-hr. a day discomfort.
Keep on keeping on,

If Dogs were Teachers we would learn stuff like:
1. When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
2. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride
3. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be
pure ecstasy.
4. When it’s in your best interest — practice obedience.
5. Let others know when they’ve invaded your territory.
6. Take naps and stretch before rising.
7. Run, romp, and play daily.
8. Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
9. Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do.
10. On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
11. On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.
12. When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
13. No matter how often you’re scolded, don’t buy into the guilt thing

Hi All,
I have just joined the list. My name is LaNette and I am interested in
diabetic candy and desert recipes. My family has several close friends that
are diabetic and I am looking to provide them with homemade dishes at family
gatherings and parties. Any help, recipes or advice in making their visit to
our home a more enjoyable time would be appreciated.

1 Bob Smith, my assistant programmer, can always be found
2 hard at work in his cubicle. Bob works independently, without
3 wasting company time talking to colleagues. Bob never
4 thinks twice about assisting fellow employees, and he always
5 finishes given assignments on time. Often he takes extended
6 measures to complete his work, sometimes skipping coffee
7 breaks. Bob is a dedicated individual who has absolutely no
8 vanity in spite of his high accomplishments and profound
9 knowledge in his field. I firmly believe that Bob can be
10 classed as a high-caliber employee, the type which cannot be
11 dispensed with. Consequently, I duly recommend that Bob be
12 promoted to executive management, and a proposal will be
13 executed as soon as possible.

That idiot was standing over my shoulder while I wrote the report
