I used hair spray on a wasp once because it’s supposed to stick their wings
together. It did until it dried then he/she kept on flying.
I DO think mozzies like diabetics’ skin/blood because of the sugar content.
They see us as a great big bun.
Presently, Mr. Jan is looking up Natal. 8^ ) Can’t find it.

Don’t be sorry there’s no more bad news.
I wish I could do something for you living there.
Most Americans (defined as citizens of the USA) are like the fly that lived
in the vinegar jar = thought it was the sweetest place in the world because
he never lived any place else. I still think, with all USA’s faults, it’s
far above #2.

“Winterize your lawn,” the big sign outside the garden store commanded.
I’ve fed it, watered it, mowed it, raked it and watched a lot of it die
anyway. Now I’m supposed to winterize it? I hope it’s too late. Grass
lawns have to be the stupidest thing we’ve come up with outside of thong
swimsuits! We constantly battle dandelions, Queen Anne’s lace, thistle,
violets, chicory and clover that thrive naturally, so we can grow grass
that must be nursed through an annual four-step chemical dependency.
Imagine the conversation The Creator might have with St. Francis about this:
“Frank you know all about gardens and nature. What in the world is going
on down there in the Midwest? What happened to the dandelions, violets,
thistle and stuff I started eons ago? I had a perfect, no-maintenance
garden plan. Those plants grow in any type of soil, withstand drought and
multiply with abandon. The nectar from the long-lasting blossoms attracted
butterflies, honey bees and flocks of songbirds. I expected to see a vast
garden of colors by now. But all I see are these green rectangles.”

Some of you might have read this, I think it’s very good..
The Most Beautiful Flower
The park bench was deserted as I sat down to read
Beneath the long, straggly branches of an old willow tree.
Disillusioned by life with good reason to frown,
For the world was intent on dragging me down.
And if that weren’t enough to ruin my day,
A young boy out of breath approached me, all tired from
play.
He stood right before me with his head tilted down
And said with great excitement, “Look what I found!”
In his hand was a flower, and what a pitiful sight,
With it’s petals all worn - not enough rain or too little
light.
Wanting him to take his dead flower and go off to play,

Hi everyone,
Just thought I’d write and let you all know that I’ve finally finished
school! Yay! I finished on Tuesday, we had our muck-up assenbly on
Wednesday and then our Valedictory assembly and speech night yesterday. I
got 4 awards. Two subject awards - Further Maths and Information
Technology, a “dark blue” award for academic excellence and a service award
for service to Duke of Ed. I was kind of annoyed that they didn’t have
anything for service to gymnastics (they had one for every other sport!!) I
was gym v-capt and went to every training session and competition (whereas
the captain didn’t even go to a single training session!) and also for
skiing, I was the only person to go to every training session and
competition. Oh well, I can always write my own!!
Now I’ve just got my exams which start next Friday. I had my french oral
last Monday which went ok I think. I’ll just be glad when it’s all over!
Well, that’s all for now,

I get the hint, e-pal. Guess I should go to *Help* a lot more often (like at
least sometimes) and maybe I’d learn something. 8^ )
