After all this time and all our concern all you can say is *ptuiii!!!!*.
Where have you been and what is going on? We were worried about our
troublesome, mischievous friend!
Happy to know you are still with us!

We’ve had so much rain that the catfish have been eating the
maize (corn on the cob) IN THE FIELD!!
A few schools have adopted a new uniform…
(YES they DO wear them here!!)…the new uniform is called a
“wetsuit”…
No joke, Virginia airport in Durban have measured 440mm,
(17.5 inches) of rain in only six hours. Houses have been washed
away, people drowned, roads were washed away…Durban were the
hardest hit.
Our double storey office inside a HUGE big hangar like building is
built right underneath the “valley” of the roof that forms a “V”…
we are on the ground floor and STILL THE water came through
THREE roofs, soaking EVERYTHING.
My last e-mail was to another mailing list concerning dogs and
then we lost everything…

sorry to hear about all this rain! I suppose then you have a good reason for
worrying us! Dry up and let us know how you are!

The whole irony is that we needed rain and people blamed God for
the “almost” drought, they prayed for rain and now STILL it’s not
good enough…..
If I was God I would’ve been very confused with all the contradicting
prayers ending up in my “in” box…man is NEVER satisfied with
ANYTHING.
S’ppose they’ll also blame it on “El Nino”.

Christine, I’m not sorry about all this rain, we needed it, it’s the
stupid things that stupid people do that worries me.
Where on earth have you seen people stopping in the middle of a
bridge over a raging river in flood, just to watch the water going by??
The bridge washed away on both sides and the people that wanted
to save them also perished.

What does La Nina mean? I know that El Nino means “little one” or
“child” in Spanish.
Me thinks it is little girl where as El Nino is little boy! I most likely am
wrong, though!

Marius, are you and your family ok? How is your home? I knew something had
to happen. Now you know that we care about you and your family and you broke
your routine. We know what time you are usually on and what you say when you
are signing off. I know things can get a little challenging in the Darkest
of Africa and it just did not sound like you not to answer. Let us know how
you fared ok? hugs Shelia

We’re all OK, house OK, cats an’ dog OK.
We only had very hard rain in town itself and the damage that was
done was through inadequate draining systems at work and the
flooding river. Durban was the hardest hit with very bad floods.
Thanks for all the concern…
