DISCOURAGEMENT
The devil was going to put his tools up for sale.
On the date of the sale, the tools were placed for public inspection; each
tool being marked with its sale price.
They were a treacherous lot of implements…Hatred, Envy, Jealousy, Deceit,
Lying, Pride, and so on. Laid apart from the rest was a harmless looking
tool, well worn and priced very high.
“What is the name of this tool?” asked one of the purchasers, pointing to
it.
“That is Discouragement”, replied the devil.
“Why have you priced it so high?”
“Because it is more useful to me than the others. I can pry open and get

Hi, Christina,
I’m the w.O.w. of the group. You’ll soon meet Marius from South Africa. He
says I’m the wisest person HE knows (highly doubt that), and I’m 60.
Therefore, wise OLD woman. My Sweet 49th anniversary was 11/5.

I have used an insulin pump since 8/23/83. I now have a MiniMed 507c. Blue
if that makes a diff. 8^) I hope you enjoy the freedom of life your pump
is giving you. Life is so much brighter today with that device.

Yeah, Sweetheart, I’m still having a hard time too. I was 11 when I got it.
I know what teen years are with it. I’m glad you have the diet drinks, etc.
today so you can enjoy times with your friends instead of having iced tea

faking seeing

=======
When our newspaper ran *Grafitti* I remember a frame said “A liar is
someone who cannot see and makes you think they can.” I DIDN’T SAY IT!
But I, too, was there. I know exactly what you/they mean/t. But,
Becki, maybe that is a problem. Be truthful and let them know you can’t see.
I have a friend who has macular degeneration leaving her with a little bit
of peripheral sight. I was with her when the Blind Society rep. visited and
she explained what was going on. Ruby doesn’t realize I know how she fakes
and she makes herself look bad. A lady at church asked if she is retarded.
She called a bag of coin rollers, dog treats to prove she could see.
WRONG!!! She has almost been smunched by the automatic doors by running
ahead and asumming it was the IN door. She’ll pick up free newspapers so
people will think she can read them. Be honest. Those people will respect
you more and you’ll respect yourself if they know the truth. Your faking may
be making you look retarded too. Don’t do it. You are intelligent.
