Is that what is more or less known in USA as your soul is owned by the
company store?

Well, I’m sure not going to explain any more of what I say w/o your request,
SIR I forget all (most) you listers are MUCH (well, somewhat) younger than I
(60). Back in the ’50s Tennessee Ernie Ford (Ol’ Ern) had a song about
working in a coal mine - that also owned the dry goods store, grocery store,
everything. He had to work there because everything he bought was from the
*company store* and they deducted much of his pay back to the company. He
was more or less trapped. A vicious circle. I saw that your house is an
Iscor house so figured it was from the company you work for. Therefore,
whatever you do is more or less company-owned.
BTW - are you left-handed??

I THOUGHT IT WAS ABOUT THE SONG!!! ( SIXTEEN TONS?)
“…sixteen tons and what do you get, another day older and deeper
in debt…” (I think)
Also have a few GREAT albums of T.E.F. mostly religious and also
of “Gentleman Jim” Reeves…lovely music.
Negatory on left handed, why do you ask?

Jan and group, I am a little behind on my emails but I thought that I
had to tell you that our dauyghter who is 15 loves that song and also the
chain gang. She is a favorite of the oldies. We went to Forever Plaid a
Broadway play and they sang a lot of the oldie and she loved it. We have
always had a variety of music at our home and the girls enjoy it all.

That is wonderful about your son, hope he goes far.

Thank you Gail, just keep him in his prayers. It is really hard for a
Christian youth to be in that kind of world. I am really proud of him
though, he stands up for the Lord and is not afraid of it. Hugs Shelia :O)
Sheila, If they make a tape let us know the name and where to look for
it. My daughter loves that kind of music. Also wish he could preform at
one of the church here. It is so much fun to hear our youth praising the
Lord in song. Joni is tone deaf but she still tries to sing. It is so
cute. I really am happy to hear such good news. tell him we will keep
him in our thoughts and prayers. Becki

Thank you Becki, if you will email me your snail mail privately I will send
you a copy. They worked all weekend on it trying to get it finished in time
for the concert in January. Also let me know where you go to church and I
will pass it on to their manager. They are just getting started so not many
have heard of them. Although they were one of the finalist chosen to open for
Rebecka ST. James this last Oct I think, needless to say they did not get
picked but I told Jonathan just being noticed from her was wonderful.
Jonathan and Dereck are the youngest Jon plays the trumpet and sings lead and
Dereck plays the sax. The rest of the band is made up of music ministers and
youth ministers. They are pretty awesome and cater to the youth. but they
have something for everyone. Thank you for asking and please send me the
address and i will mail you a copy. My nephew is also tone deaf and he is so
cute. I do agree!! The Lord is not tone deaf thats for sure!! Hugs Shelia
