Becki’s throat

====
BECKI,
BE SURE to tell your endo what she said!!! How in the world is a patient to
self-diagnose and determine if something is endocrine-related or a common
something-or-other????? You are a diabetic - which affects your whole
system, and diabetes is an endocrine-gland disease (pancreas). Besides,
whatever the *other* physician would Rx may upset your endocrine
gland(s)!!!!! MY primary-care physician IS my ENDO!! I do cross reference
every *-ologist* I visit with my endo AND neph. That way they both know all
of what’s going on with me in case I end up in a gross problem. If you end
up in the ER be sure to tell them your dr. is your endo. That nurse (??) is
wayyy off base. I have found that nurses are people too.
======
(Becki) I am stubborn and decided I would wait for my doc.
======

(Jan): I’m glad there’s no fever. But, what if you had strep?? I’m getting
madder the faster I type. Better slow down. She (nurse) needs to be
reported. Your insurance covers only endo reasons? I bet your endo doesn’t
know she said that. SHE isn’t the one to determine if it is an endo reason.
LAWSUIT, LAWSUIT! What if you had a condition that is masked and appears to
be a *common xxx* and it was, in fact, an endocrine problem? Then what? You
have a known endocrine problem. IT’S HIS DETERMINATION to diagnose.
=====
(Becki) My sugars have been just over 150 and it is upsetting
=====
(Jan): Don’t let it make you sicker. That DOES happen and won’t be the end
of the world. A temporary rise DOES happen. Your HbA1c probably won’t even
be affected that much.
=====
(Becki) Also will take the flu shot on Tuesday.
=====
(Jan): NOOOOOOOOOO!!! Do not get that shot while you are sick! It could
make you sicker. It should go into a well body. — UNLESS things have
changed so drastically that it doesn’t matter. I had my 39th flu shot a
couple weeks ago.
Take care all
mad (as in angry) dr. Jan
