Since women are naturally sweeter
than men, I wouldn’t want your blood sugars to run high after dinner
with her.

Gail RD,

Well, Becki,
Marius will probably feed well off this. There are wayyy too many carbs for
me here. Of course, we have to feed him with TLC.

PICS & feet

Connie,
Thanks for doing for me what I should know how to do. You have made us
international faces!
Marius was supposed to be back today. Hope his mom is okay. He may have been
called back to the hospital.
I found out today that on Wed. 12/1 I will have surgery on my heel spur. It is
so painful to walk sometimes and footologist says the new arthroscopic procedure
should take care of it. I will have a walking cast and he hopes the heel will
heal quickly - my HbA1c has been 6.9 and that will help. Oh, joy!!

snacktime

Deena,
Wouldn’t it be nice to not have the clock control your life. Wouldn’t it be
nice for your daughter to have a snack when she WANTS it and not when she
doesn’t? Wouldn’t it be nice for her to sleep in on occasion and have a very
late brunch or late picnic? Well, it is possible today for the little ones.
I have had an insulin pump for 16 years now and all the above is possible.
Check out www.insulin-pumpers.org and see the kids on pumps. It is a
completely different way of life and control. Your little girl can grow up
with freedoms not allowed for children just a few years ago. Please check it
out for her sake - and for you and your family. I was 11 yrs. old (1950),
Gail Darling was 7 (1957), Iris was 5 about 26 years ago, and others on this
list know the restrictions and even rejections. Your little one can have a
freedom with flexibility with the pump.

Ok GaGail….I do feel better now! I thought I had totally lost it….soon,
but thankfully not yet! I remember reading that also but I thought she was
one one of my other lists. I hope that you can give her some suggestions.
the whole thing like I have done here. Ah heck, we can probably do it
but I have no idea how. That’s why I own a WebTV instead of a real
computer. For me, WebTV is truly the “Internet for dummies”.<<
I didn’t know much about computers either! I do know we have others who have
WebTv, Maybe someone has a suggestion?

Hi All,
I have received responses from so many of you and they were all well
accepted. I am getting the idea of your list now. Sounds as if you are all
very close and enjoy your fun times. That is really a wonderful support
system and one we seldom get from any where else. Nothing like finding
someone in the same circumstances as yourself. I am also on the
DiabetesandRecovery@onelist loop. This list is for Overeaters Anonymous
members with diabetes. Can you imagine what a difficult combination these 2
diseases can be?
I wrote about my food cravings in the evening. They are intense and seem so
impossible to change. My food plan set up my a dietitian is:
45 carbohydrates with each meal and 30 for snacks to have at any time. Then
the protein is 1 oz for breakfast, 2 oz for lunch and 4 for dinner. 5 fruits
and vegetables. This is plenty of food and the carbohydrates certainly help
fill me up. She is very opposed to Adkins diet. She thinks my diet is a

How does this affect TM

Saturday, December 11th, 2004

How is this going to affect your Toastmasters experience? If you can’t make
it to your noon club, you know you can transfer your membership with full
credit for what you have accomplished to another club. The club dues part
has to be worked out though. You may have to pay the new club’s dues
(usually from $1-$10) only because the TI dues (October) has gone to WHQ.
Stick with it. It’s good for your resume.

Hello Everyone!
I got back from North Carolina in one piece on Monday afternoon. I
ended up leaving a couple of days earlier than planned. Thankfully my
ears had cleared up from my head cold before we left.
Attached are some pictures Jan sent me to scan and post. Here is a
description of each. Hopefully I attached them in the right order. :-) 1) Jan & Mr. Jan (Merv) [MrMrsJan0001.jpg]
2) Div. Gov. of 98/99 Year Award (10/24/99) [Award0001.jpg]
3) Jan pointing to Pinocchio (Marius) disguised in a pumpkin suit
(10/21/99). This was at a “Fashion Farm Pumpkin Fantasy Land.” All
displays are pumpkins, gourds, squash, etc. The goldfish that outgrew
his bowl is a gourd. So is Jiminy Cricket. [Pinocchio0003.jpg]
4) Connie, Julianne and Jan in Indy (11/6/99) [BKing0001.jpg]
When I finish reading a week’s worth of posting, I’ll be back!

No, Becki, South Africa is in the dark(est) ages. That’s one thing so
frustrating about us trying to help Marius keep on track. He doesn’t have
the doctors or the medical techniques we do. He’ll be at work today I think
in the afternoon for us and I’m sure will give us some info on whatever.
Merredy started Big School yesterday - which I think to USA is first grade.
Quite an exciting event.
