Laser Surgery
Doris,
This is a YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) thing. Someone else said they had
thousands of *hits*, I sat in the chair once, etc., etc. Being nervous is
only going to raise your BG and that will certainly delay healing and that
could easily affect your sight. Relax and follow the orders of the person
who was trained in the field and went to school to learn it. I’m sure my
vision in that eye was blurry for a week. When I had my vitrectomy (5/97) I
was *couch bound* (too difficult to keep head elevated in bed) for 3 months.
No driving for 8 months. Today my vision is 20/20 & 20/25. Others have not
done so well. Also, after that *ordeal* and when I got back on the road I
had to wear very light yellow clip-on night driving glasses for the
headlight glare. I haven’t worn those for well over a year now. One of my
*-ologists* says you always need a Tincture of Time. Keep your BGs at a good
level to speed the healing process.
Have a safe and healthy Thanksgiving.
original email about laser surgery. It made it a bit easier to go into it.
I had the laser surgery on one eye on Monday. The doctor said my eye could
be blurry for up to one week. My question for those of you out there that
have had laser surgery is how long did the blurred vision last? I am
nervous that my eye is still very blurry even though the doctor warned me it
might happen. I’m wondering what others have experienced.
