My server
I contacted my server about my delayed outgoing stuff the other night.
Here’s the response I received.

had sent to our mail support department. The last couple of days the mail
server was being worked on and so a delay in the sending and receiving of
mail was caused. This could have been the delay you were experiencing. The
messages were being sent to help us identify any problems relating to your
email account. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
