I’m gettin’ smart-er
Since M put out his request of birthdates and states; and my addition of
type and dx date, I’ve decided to make a Cheat Sheet and log who/when/where
on it so I can recall who we are better.
I see Denise and Lisa are only a couple months apart in age. 8^)
I’m almost old enough to be the mother of the women here, except for Becki
and Gail. I have had T-1 since before Gail was born!! - well most of the
rest of you, too. EXCEPT for the Cap’n.

Sounds like a fun project Jan…
maybe you should add it to the shared files when its done.. I see they are
empty..

[diabetics] I’m gettin’ smart-erIt’s called pencil and paper. I’m not THAT
smart to do it on PC - maybe I could try.
I set this post to 12 pt Arial. Can you find plain text on your menu so these
posts can be read by Gail, Becki, and others who have visual impairment?
Thanks for setting up the chat. I’ve been there 2x but no one has talked to me.

Jan.. If you can send the info thru in an email, I can format it to go into
the shared files at onelist…
We’ll get all you folks puter literate yet!! ; )
As far as not talking.. well, It seems time has been my enemy today, I have
been either coming as one of you are going, or going as one of you are
coming. Just can’t get it right. : (

My reply:
An easy way I found of saving the info is to put it in my address book.
When I click on the person’s name in the header of the message it makes
a new address book card for that person. Then I just copy and paste the
info onto the “notes” page. Of course, since we all use different
browsers I don’t know how it would work for OE. To me the address book
is more convenient than the shared files.

My reply:
I was planning to be on line at least part of the evening last night,
but my PC and Prodigy conspired against me. I had no problems
connecting yesterday morning and afternoon, but last night I kept
getting a “Point to Point Protocol” error. It took 2 calls to tech
support to get it fixed. The last one meant a couple of hours of work
on my part after the call to do a scan disk and defrag. I woke up on
the couch at 5:30 this morning and saw it was done. I turned it off and
went to bed. I didn’t know if I would be able to connect this morning
or not. My goal was to get my system resources performance to at least
80%. It was 66% last night on the phone, this morning it
was….67%!!!! Oh well! It did make one BIG difference though. My
connection is usually between 24,000 bps and 26,000 bps, even with a 56k
modem. This morning it’s running at 57,600 bps!!!! It’s a miracle! I
don’t know what happened, but I’m happy!
