Marius,
HOW did Riian react when he saw Merredy? Does he agree that they look
alike - even with you not being his *father*? It is remarkable thir
resemblance. Cute kids. Did you have your camera that day and allowed to
take snapshots?

doing too much

Monday, February 13th, 2006

Jan,
Sounds to me like you are trying to be super employee, super mom and super
wife. Believe me, I am not being critical of you, I just know the way you
are thinking and doing and what it is doing to your body. I had to have it
drilled into my head before I would pay any attention. Also believe me,
Becki, your body is saying “it” cannot take any more. You may have to cut
back on work or take a leave, you also need help and support for your
daughters problems, don’t try to handle them alone. Hubby may have to
become more involved or a counsellor. I was told all this before I had to
quit work, but no I wouldn’t listen and I am still paying for it.
I care.
Take care,
Gail

Just Hi

Monday, February 13th, 2006

HI all, I finally got through the 200 emails. I just can not stay up and
read them all after working all day. It seems like once I delete them
they come back unless I empty the delete box after every reading. Oh,
well…I am a little frustrated with my daughter’s school and work is not
getting any better so my sugars are on a roller coaster. Last night
after eating I was so upset with everything i lost my whole meal. Was
afraid to eat more so this a.m. I was 107. The night before I woke with
a low sugar ate and then not terrible in the morning but I think I over
ate the nite for the morning reading. On Monday I went to the diabetic
forum and the researcher was showing us a new protype meter, shot,
lancet, storage container all in one unit. It had some good ideas but
Gail I was telling them that most diabetics have eye problems and they
have not taken those things into the construction of this container. It
will be interesting to see if the product really comes out on the market.
I got to touch and look at it and they said it was being made by B-D

10 Reasons to not exercise

10 Best Reasons to Not Exercise
1) My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60.
She’s 97 now & we don’t know where the hell she is.
2) The only reason I would take up jogging is so that I could hear
heavy breathing again.
3) I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 bucks. Haven’t
lost a pound. Apparently you have to show up.
4) I have to exercise in the morning before my brain figures out
what I’m doing.
5) I don’t exercise at all. If God meant us to touch our toes, he
would have put them further up our bodies.
6) I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy
me.
7) I have flabby thighs, but fortunately my stomach covers them.
8) The advantage of exercising every day is that you die healthier.

Babs,
He was giving us a recap of his 3 weeks off and made a restaurateur go kill
a *iddy biddy* croc for his lunch the next day. Talk about animal rights!!

2/2

Wednesday, February 8th, 2006

M,
I don’t know if tomorrow (2/2) is a BIG day in SA or not, but here (USA)
it’s
a realllllll biggie. We want to know if Punxatawney Phil (a ground hog in
his burrow) will see his shadow
(that’s in Pennsylvania). If he does, we’ll have 6 more weeks of winter. If
he doesn’t winter will last until the usual time - March 20-22 i.e. 6 -7
weeks from now.
Anyway, I always serve porcupine meatballs in commemoration of the big
event. That’s hamburger/rice/onions/S&P cooked in tomato soup. That’s the
closest I come to eating porcupine OR ground hog. BUT, Mr. Jan just called
and he’ll be home in about an hour until bedtime (I have to pick him up and
return him to his truck 3 mi. away) but he won’t be home tomorrow night. So,
we’re celebrating Mr. PP a day early. Served over mashed potatoes, yummmy
with green beans and lettuce and a little Miracle Whip. Excuse me while I go
