Sounds like us and Iris. So far, just a little hitch here and there. But the
same. In Canada a chesterfield is a couch - in USA it’s a cigarette. We
have napkins, they have serviettes. etc.

Bad days

HEY!
You’re stealing (steeling) my quote!!! I usually tell people I got diabetes
2 years before I was born (making me 48). M O S T people believe me and
comment: Boy, you were really young. LOL
HEY, Mr. Know-more-about-PCs-than-I, do I need to teach you how to <snip
the bottom of your posts so allllllll that previous stuff does not clog up
the Digest-ers’ mailboxes?

BASH

Thursday, March 16th, 2006

Yvette and anyone else who doesn’t know or could care a little;
My 50th anniversary of DX for DM will be 11/5/50. A HALF CENTURY!!! I’m
planning a BASH = Bawling, Amazed (that anyone would care), Sincerity, and
Humor. This will be on 11/4/00. I went into a coma on a Sunday and this
year matches 1950. So Saturday is the day to commemorate. I have a list of
invitees and am making a booklet of my diary pages over the period of the
coma and hosp. stay, including a great article on depression, and warning
signs of DM, as well as treatment of hypoglycemia/reactions. I figure this
booklet (so far 32 pages (full sheets folded in half - printed both sides; 1
sheet = 4 pgs) will be a good educational tool for those who think DM is a
dietary inconvenience. It also includes pump testimonials and it is a combo
observance for our 40th wedding anniversary. So I’ll print that info
upsidedown from the backside.
I’m going to display my *museum* of the evolution of diabetes products I
began with in 1950. I have *met* on the ‘net many people who have taken/or

You know you’re from Indiana when:

You Know You’re From Indiana When……….
You only own 3 spices, salt, pepper, and ketchup.
You design your kids’ Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit.
You have more miles on your snowblower than on your car.
You have 10 favorite recipes for venison.
Driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow.
You think everyone from bigger cities have accents.
You think sexy lingerie is tube socks and a flannel nightie.
You owe more money on your snowblower than you do your car.
Your snowblower gets stuck on your roof.
The local paper covers national and international headlines on 1 page but
requires 6 pages for sports.
You think that deer season is a national holiday.
You know which leaves make good toilet paper.
You find -20*F “a little chilly”.

slowwww mail

Sunday, March 12th, 2006

I just called my ISP to complain about the mail not getting through. Heard
an interesting tale:
It seems as though some *hackers* went through the entire internet system
about 1/10/00 and put a virus in to not recognize mail delivery. (I’m trying
my best to say this the way I was told, but I’m probably wrong.) She said my
server was one of the *attacked* and they have reset their system. BUT, we
will continue to have problems until all the servers reset their systems.
Attempts will be made for 5 days, then the mail will return to sender. That
is probably why 6 of mine will go through at once.
;( It’s frustrating sitting here and sending msgs and knowing they’re not
getting through.
I”M HERE!!
