pastor

Monday, August 14th, 2006

We were introduced to our new pastor on Sunday morning, a
young chap of about 28 years old. (Full Gospel Church)
They went to live in the USA in one of the northern states about 5
years ago, he said that he would go back ANY DAY.
He was full of praise for your country, also said that they had
incredibly long winters compared to South Africa.
Told us about how God provided to their every need, they went over
without ANY money, he had no sponsor but still they were given a
green card. They bought a house for $20,000 and sold it for twice
as much five years later, within three days of being in the market.
It must be incredible to live in a country where some shops and
supermarkets never close. Ours open at 08:30 and close eight
hours later. :-( Their daughter was born in the US and thus a citizen.
Wish I could go….just for those WINTERS!!!

tjpought for the day

Thursday, August 10th, 2006

Hey group, I think I have read this before but I am not sure that I sent
it. I thought it most appropriate after listening to us talk this last
week. I hope that you will read this and take it to heart and the way it
was intented. Everyone of you are precious in His sight and even when we
are hurting, down, or ready to face what is ahead of us He has a plan for
us and will guide us through the rough times. Put your faith in His
hands and let Him carry the load until you are ready to help again. My
love and prayers go out to you all. Have a blessed day…Becki PS…I
need to hear my own words at times also. None of us can escape these
feelings….HUGS

SICKNESS
We will no longer accept your doctor’s statement as proof. We
believe if you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to work.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR SURGERY
We are no longer allowing this practice. As long as you are
employed here, you will need all of whatever you have
and should not consider having anything removed. We hired you as
you are, and to have anything removed would certainly make you
less than we bargained for. Anyone having operations will be
FIRED immediately.
PREGNANCY
In the event of extreme pregnancy, you will be allowed to go
to the first aid room when the pains are FIVE MINUTES apart.
IF it is false labor, you will have to take an hour’s leave without
pay.
