living in a *normal* world
Whoa, there, sister girl!
You are implying *everyone else* is non-defective. I think if we looked hard
enough we’d find something *ab*normal with everyone. Don’t make yourself an
outcast with everyone else being *okay.* Ain’t so. As someone told me, we
all have our own little quirks. Each year they enter all the hair colors,
eye colors, heights, weights, etc. into a computer to find the *average*
Miss America contestant. NO one qualifies. (~_^)

What I am referring to is that the normal world does not have to worry
about the time it is to eat and if i took my insulin and have waited the
alotted time and did I eat too much and have I taken into account the
stress I was under today and have I exercised enough to eat this or that.
It is always things I have to worry about that the normal world takes
for granted. The use of some things makes my life easier to ive in this
world that was normal for me until about 3 years aoo. It is not a
negative, it is just life and I want to just live and be happy. I need
to do these other things to stay alive and healthy for myself and my
family. I need to accept that I am different but why bring the rest of
the world into my concerns. They really do not care and they do not want
to be affected by my inconveniences. I have accepted this and deal with
it daily. I do the best I can to keep my sugars in the good range but
there are days when it is not possible. I was just trying to express
that the pen has given me more freedom to participate in the world
around me when I am the one with diabetes and the rest of the world might
have other problems but need not worry about some of the things that I
must deal with to survive. No there is not a normal world where the
average person lives because we are all special and are special and
unigue in God’s eye. We each must deal with daily challenges so you are
right there is no normal but there are standards that make life a
challenge for all of us. Thanks..Becki

Yeah, I know. I’ve been doing this 49+ years.
