in-laws
Wendy told me yesterday that her parents were coming to visit this
weekend. Apparently I invited them over when I talked to them just
a few hours after I had the op. DAMN that Halothane!! always
knew that I was allergic to it….
I promptly gathered all the garlic I could get my hands on and hung
it above the door, dusted the silver crucifix, polished my silver
bullets and waited for things to happen.
I could not help it but fell asleep before they arrived at 9am this
morning. I woke up at 4pm and cautiously opened our bedroom
door and peeped out. Mom-in-law’s broom was parked in the usual
place and her familiar, Sharky the sausage dog, was cavorting with
Spud. It all ended well, maybe I’ll still turn onto a frog but for the
time being a truce has been declared.

Be thankful for small favors.
BTW - what are you doing with a crucifix. My Jesus didn’t stay dead,
therefore, we use an empty cross.
