Hi gang,
As Gail and Connie know, I stayed seated yesterday because it was painful to
do the motion of getting up and down. I have had a terrible night and we are
going to go to the emergency room. I don’t wanna but told Mr. Jan we have
to. Just breathing is very painful now, where it started in just my left hip
area in the muscle.
As far as me being sick Sat. early a.m., I took 2 Excedrin for pain, a
Quinine pill ’cause thought my legs might cramp in the night due to more
diuretics in recent weeks, and a sleeping pill to assure rest for the big
day starting in the DARK! Glad I could wake up, though. That *cocktail*
might have done it. Wasn’t pleasant at all. But, I was determined to go to
Indy. Beautiful weather and me sick? No way!!
BG: 130
BP: 87/67 (surprising considering the pain)
SOM: need help!

Jan,
I hope you can get some sleep with those pills. It’s hard to sleep with pain.
Did the long ride yesterday aggravate it? I know my mom has a hard time with
long rides. She’s had severe back problems (braces/surgery/now disability) for
25+ years. Hers started from years of abuse to her back from doing things for
my dad (paraplegic).
Will the pain pills raise your bgs? I know things like steroids and cortisone
can. Hope your “backologist” can help tomorrow.

Connie,
Just as *there is nothing wrong with me*, the pain pill didn’t work, either.
I just reread the bottle and it says 1-2 every 6 hours. So, I’ll take 2 when
I go nite-nite.
The long ride there and home, believe it or not was not bad. It’s the motion
of getting in and out of the vehicle (or the restaurant chair). We did make
a *pit stop* in Argos, north of Rochester (no Babs, not MN - IN) and I
struggled to get in and out. The handicapped stalls have *handle bars* so
that was helpful. I drove, you know. The driver’s seat is more comfortable
and it’s my left hip that was bothering me so much and I drive with my right
foot. Cruise control is very helpful, but accelerating and braking did not
bother me. That’s why I’ll not take any pain pills in the a.m. and drive
myself for my EPO shot.
As far as sleeping, I can - it’s the turning in any direction that is
excruciating. I hope I’ve dropped everything on the floor today that needs
to be dropped because I cannot bend over and Mr. Jan is still here.

Right!!! It really hurt when he tested my reflexes with his hammer - making
my leg jump! I’ll try to have someone take me to the backologist again
tomorrow since he said I can’t drive with *dope* in me. My BP there was
122/85 - great. BG was 178.
Thanks for your worries, Gail and Shelia. Settle down. I’m going to try to
get some rest since this pill will knock me out.

Hey Marius, whats up with you. Glad to see you online again. You are
truley missed when you are not around. It seems like you are in the
neighborhood instead of half way around the world. How in the heck are you?
