: )
I’m here… wading knee deep in email. very tired.
was violently ill last night. I think I am exposing myself to something my
body doesn’t like.
a food or something, maybe even stress.. I’m not sure, but this is the
second time its happened.
I’m opening ~Mystic Bead~ an online bead store in April. Then I can write
off my trips to Oregon and Arizona (big gem and bead shows). And I can take
consignments from other bead workers and maybe do a few craft shows around
here.
The guild isn’t doing so well. I meant to get back to Touchie, she had
requested info about it. But truth be told I’m not real certain if I want to
be involved with it right now. I’m going to have to take liability for it
once I register the organization and make it legal, which I am more than
willing to do… but at the moment I don’t have much say and I don’t want to
be in a position where I wind up taking the fall for something later just
cuz my name was on a piece of paper. Eeeew makes me ill just to think about
it.
Es is doing good. She is on spring break this week. I do wish tho that I
could keep her numbers as stable as when she is in school. We really have no
routine at home. Believe me I get scolded for that every time I take her to
the Dr. (I really hate that). Oh, you know, I bet if I cut down just a hair
off her insulin for non school days, that might help tighten it up…. hmmm.
We have a meeting with the school again next week. Lori Benson the district
RN called to say that they had found a few problems with the health plan
(that I still haven’t signed) and that her supervisor had been looking into
the districts policies and so she wanted to go over what she had found. THEN
she said that we should be there at 8 a.m. so that Es won’t miss any school
and she can attend the meeting cuz this concerns her too. She had called and
woke me up, so in my sleepy state I said yes to everything she said. I
thought about it afterwards though and I was sooooo offended I was in 10
states of mad. Who is she to say my child should attend this meeting? If she
knew my child at ALL, she would know that Es hates to talk about having
diabetes. She doesn’t want to look at pump pictures or pens or new syringes
or anything. She deals with it very well, but she deals in her own way. She
does what she has to do and she moves on. (whoa, I think she gets that from
me!) Anyway. Es will not be at that meeting. And Ms. Benson crossed the
line big time by *telling* me she should be there and not even asking if it
would be okay.
Whew, damn. I guess I really needed to vent. And hey ! I even remembered to
shut off the rich text!! : ) Think I’m going to try to eat something now…

Babs,
Hurry and find the 504 form that the US law has available for children with
disabilities. That assures your child of any medical need, etc. It follows
them throughout their school years as well as into college. There are no
repercussions thereafter. They HAVE to obey that directive!!!!

None of your write-offs will count if you don’t earn enough money over and
above that amount. It’ll be a wash otherwise.
Don’t take on more than you can chew. The *cud* can get so big it’ll give
you a major migraine. Keep us posted.
