Jan gone
Jan ate her fishies and Mr. Jan is eating a bbq rib TV dinner. Isn’t that
lovely fare for a trucker who would like a home-cooked meal. Well, I cooked
it. But he said he’d be home late tonight so I didn’t thaw something and
make a *real* meal. He often gets home at midnight or later. I was surprised
he got here now.

I can’t do that. He works hard and is gone most of the time and I’m home
spending his money on meds trying to give me some kind of life. It’s time
for him to rest.

Yeah, men aren’t helpless but sometimes when he gets home from
work tired he’d like to know that the lady in his life cares SO much
about him that there’s a nice meal waiting for him…;-)
M,
I may be considered old fashioned but I think this is true.

Gail,
Everyone situation is different and I didn’t mean to imply that you should
still be doing the cooking and such. Marriage is a partnership and needs to
be shared.
Christine………see how good I was at marriage….divorced after 13 yrs!

I still do what cooking I can and Hubby doesn’t. I just refuse to put my
self down by saying I just set at home every day. If I looked at myself
like that I would crawl in a hole and never come out. Believe me, I have
been in the hole before, but made myself claw and grab to get out.
I may have to set at home and do nothing all day, but I don’t “set at home
and do nothing”.

Gail,
I do understand what you are saying. You can’t get out and work a job outside
of the home. Besides you did do it for many years. I am sure you aren’t
sitting home doing nothing. Your right..don’t let anyone make you feel that
way either.
