For fear of offending you, I’ll explain. We were, at one time, inundated
with cowboy movies. When they were showing a fight scene in a bar, or
whatever, there would come on the screen *meanwhile, back at the ranch….*
So we could see what was happening back there. Since the list doesn’t know
(they don’t know nothin’ ’cause it’s just mean’ you) I’ve been sending news
articles to you and you’ve been TRYING to open them. Finally the feat was
accomplished. So, meanwhile, back to the list….

Actually, US ranches usually have cattle - not crops. Those are farms.
