Becki’s problems

Wednesday, August 8th, 2007

Becki,
I can sympathize exactly. Mine was just at the other end of the scope. I
worked in a nursing home and one of the nurses verged on abuse, vocal. I
finally told the administrator I would quit if they didn’t fire her and
that I would let the public know about her. They did have a documented
trail by me and other nurses. Finally they got rid of her. She made
everybodies life miserable, like Rhonda. I know they are just unhappy
people, but they should not be working with people that cannot get away
with them.
Do any of the other workers have vision problems?

seize the moment

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007

Becki,
I loved this post. I do believe alot of what you wrote and try to be like
that.
That is some of my problem today, I am very discouraged. I have always
tried to seize the moment, live a positive upbeat life. I feel I am
surrounded by negative people. I also feel lately, that because I am upbeat
and optimistic, “they” feel I am stupid. I was a nurse for 25 yrs till I
had to retire. I started every day with a smile and tried to keep it all
day for those that needed it. Lately people treat me like I am only
positive because I don’t live in the real world. I have seen plenty of the
real world and lived in it more than I have liked. You cannot be a nurse
for 25 yrs and not see alot of the baser part of life. I don’t know if it
is my vision and hearing loss, but I feel people act as though I am
retarded trying to be optimistic and upbeat.
Today they have wiped my smile out. I hope it comes back some day.

ketone strips

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

Jan,
That is the type I have too.
Somehow my infusion set got pulled out this morning and I didn’t know it.
Started feeling weird around noon.
Took my test and 551. Started to pull out insertion to reinsert and found
out it was already pulled out.
Can’t believe it….went over 1700 miles with no trouble and great test.
Home one day and this. Sometimes life is such a challenge.
